Ruth B. Taylor

Ruth Taylor, age 92, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Black Mountain, NC, Ruth was born on January 30, 1933, to the late Parley and Bessie Smith Bartlett. She was a 1951 graduate of Black Mountain High School, 1953 graduate of Blantons Business College, and she retired as a Paralegal Secretary for Steve Connelley Law Offices. Ruth was also a member of the Berea Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Elmer Taylor.
Ruth is survived by her son, Doug (Nancy) Taylor, and her grandson, James Wilder.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 6-9pm at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea, KY.
Local services will be on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Harwood Home for Funerals in Black Mountain, NC. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and the funeral service will be at 2:00 pm with Jerry Senn officiating. The burial will be in Black Mountain City Cemetery.
