She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Valders and belonged to the Altar Guild, was a Lay Sacramentarian, money counter and a member of the Church quilters. She was also a member of HCE - Riverview Homemakers for 72 years.
Ruth loved her family and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She tried to attend as many of their church, school and sports activities as possible. Ruth also enjoyed baking and cooking, playing cards and the trips she took. On those trips, she made friends who she corresponded with throughout the years. Ruth also liked listening to Lawrence Welk, country music, and a few soap operas on TV (The Young & the Restless and The Bold and The Beautiful).

The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Theobald and the hospice workers for all their help especially Kayla, Pam and Rachael.
