Ruth Esther Voyers, 82 of Raceland, Kentucky entered heavens gates into the arms of Jesus Thursday, October 9, 2025, at UK King's Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky.
Ruth was born August 4, 1943, in Worthington, Kentucky, to the late Archie Manford, and Edna Mae Faulkner (Jeffers). In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by one brother, William (Bill) Faulkner, and two sisters, Frances Coburn, and Lilian Hartsaw.
Ruth dedicated her life to several things, her walk with God was more than just something that she talked about, but something she showed in how she lived every day, but her most prized accomplishment was her marriage of 61 years to Lewis W. Voyers. Married on August 29, 1964, their marriage was the foundation that built their precious, and ever-growing family.
Ruth never met a stranger, her love, compassion, and caring heart always allowed her to strike up a conversation with anyone she met. She was known for finding people she knew in her travels across the country. Once specific trip she met a friend in a random gas station close to the Grand Canyon. Ruth retired from Love More Jeweler where her love for people and the finer things in life come full circle.
In addition to her loving and dedicated husband, Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Sherri Lynn Lezu-Litteral and her husband Corbett of Flatwoods, and Angela Denise Thomas and her husband Paul of South Point, Ohio, seven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grand-children. Also, a host of extended family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Ruth's unwavering love for others and her faith in her savior will live on through the lives of people who knew her. She left simple instruction, "I want to see you ALL there". Ruth knew what it took to walk the walk of faith, and trust in God's plans. Ruth attended Grayson and South Point Nazarene Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 P.M. Monday, October 13, 2025, at Carman Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Bayless, and Rev. Ryan Byer officiating. Burial will be conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Northeast Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Paul Thomas, Donnie Hartsaw, Jonathon Lezu, Justin Lezu, Jeffrey Wells, and Page Allen.
Honorary pallbearers: Corbett Litteral, Devan Cleaver, and Brian McNeil
Visitation will be from 11 A.M. till the service hour, Monday, October 13, 2025, at Carman Funeral Home, 2301 Argillite Road,
Flatwoods, KY 41139.
