Henry E. Mays, a cherished resident of Grayson, Kentucky, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the UK King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Born on December 31, 1934, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, Henry was the beloved son of Robert Woodrow and Arizona Mays.

Henry was a devoted family man, and his heart was forever intertwined with those he loved. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Francis J. Crawford Mays, and the profound loss of three sons-Timothy, Edward, and Ronnie Mays-as well as his daughter, Linda Edmonds. He also joins several brothers and sisters in eternal rest.

A man of unwavering dedication, Henry spent many years as a die caster, skillfully crafting tools with a work ethic that inspired those around him. Beyond his professional life, he found joy in the simple pleasures of fishing, coon hunting, and tinkering with cars, often sharing these passions with family and friends.

Henry's faith was the cornerstone of his life. A devoted Christian, he lived with a servant's heart, embodying the principles of kindness and generosity. His commitment to his faith was evident in his daily life, as he preferred the pages of his Bible over the distractions of television, finding solace and guidance in scripture.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by three sons, Paul Mays of North Carolina, Jimmy Mays of Michigan, and William Mays of Kentucky; a daughter, Mary Mays of Michigan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and extended family who will deeply miss his gentle spirit and warm smile.

In honoring Henry's wishes, there will be no funeral services.

Malone Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
