Ruth Ann Welch

Ruth Ann Welch, 80, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at her home.
She was born July 1, 1945, in Fayette, Missouri, to the late Lloyd and Ruth (Strauss) Davis. Ruth Ann graduated from Fayette High School in 1963 and later attended cosmetology school, working as a beautician before earning her insurance license. She went on to work for American Family Insurance until her retirement.
Ruth Ann married William "Bill" Welch on April 3rd, 1964, and together they shared many years of love and family. She enjoyed gardening, especially her colorful flowers, and loved watching bluebirds and cardinals. Photography was another passion, and she was recognized with several awards. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by her daughter Leah "Niki" Sauter (William); son William "Brent" Welch (Belinda); brother Michael Davis (Debbie); grandchildren Cannon Welch, Christine Wickers, Mikie Wickers, Dylan Sauter, Dustin Sauter, and Amanda Thrasher; ten great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; and sisters Phyllis Detherow and Kay Omer.
Friends will be received on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City, services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Montee Shinkle as celebrant. Entombment at Hawthorn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy are suggested to Concord Baptist Church in Ruth Ann's honor.
