Ruth J. Wetzler, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on March 10, 1927, Ruth was a beacon of love and warmth, leaving a mark on all who had the privilege to know her.
Ruth devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Steve) Edmund; her son, Jon Wetzler; and her daughter, Laurie Wetzler. As a grandmother, she cherished her grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly) Edmund and Jon J. Wetzler. She will be deeply missed by them and all who loved her.
Ruth also had a special friendship with Nelson Hardesty, who was always there to lend a hand when needed, exemplifying the meaningful connections she formed throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. Wetzler, whose love she treasured deeply. Additionally, she mourned the loss of her grandchild, Emily Edmund.
Ruth found joy in simple pleasures and loved spending her time nurturing her interests in gardening and cooking. Her garden was a reflection of her nurturing spirit, and her culinary creations brought families together at the table, embodying her desire to connect and share love through food.
Ruth J. Wetzler's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry forward the values of kindness and love that she instilled in them. Her memory will forever be cherished, and she will be remembered for her unwavering love and the profound impact she had on those around her.
