Ruth White, age 87, of Piqua, OH passed away on Sunday, February 8,2026 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, Troy, OH. Ruth was born in Maidstone Kent, England, on July 19,1938 to the late Richard and Kate Elizabeth (Mountcastle) Samson. She married her love Carl E. White in Piqua, OH on August 27, 1961, and he preceded her in death on April 4,2021.

Ruth is survived by three children: Lorraine White, Piqua; James R. (Tracy) White, Urbana, OH; and Paul E. (Amy) White, Portland, OR; eight grandchildren: Amy (Dan), Joey (Emily), Jenny (Chris), Austin, David (Shelly), Ryan, Logan (Kyla), and Taylor; twelve great-grandchildren: Leander, Avery, Lynlee, Walter, Beckham, Violet, Rosie, Conner, Parker, Ethan, Kaden, and Devon, as well as her special niece: Becky Apple She is preceded in death by two brothers: David Samson and Gordon Samson.

Ruth graduated and met her husband Carl while he was proudly serving in England in the US Airforce. She started working as a nurse's aide and spent many years taking care of others at Piqua Manor Nursing Home, Piqua Memorial Hospital and retired from Upper Valley Medical Center. She loved to spend time outside in her garden as well as inside knitting and cozying up with her cats. Her most treasured moments were time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Ruth to: Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N County Rd 25A, Troy, OH 45373.
