Ruth I. Wishinsky, 94, of Owego, New York, peacefully floated away to her forever life Tuesday, November 19, 2024. "ACCOMPLISHED" is a word to describe her life and legacy. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Wishinsky; son, Daniel Lee Teed; step-son, Randy Wishinsky; two brothers, Kenneth Cornell, Donald Cornell; sister, Alice Wanck. Ruth is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, James Teed, Bruce and Laurie Teed; step-daughter, Cynthia O'Connel; two grandchildren, Gabe Teed, Melissa Teed; six great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Painter; several nieces and nephews. Her passion to live a lifetime of service and commitment to God, church, love for family and friends, hostessing, hard work, volunteering, leadership, fun, mastery of ever-challenging arts and specialty crafts, dancing, fitness, needlework, cooking and gardening was her style. Organizations such as the Owego VFW Auxiliary, PTA, Investment Club, Flower Club, Bowling Leagues, quilting groups, snowmobile club, Red Hatters Society and countless others were blessed with her unending interest and energy for all things good. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Whittemore Hill Global Methodist Church, 1349 Whittemore Hill Road, Owego, NY with the Rev.
