Ruth Yoder Obituary
Ruth M. Yoder, 97, of Massillon, OH, passed away January 3, 2025.
Ruth was born on June 20,1927 in Massillon to the late Peter and Margaret (King) Balzer. She attended Washington High School and later married the love of her life, Charles Yoder, in 1946. A dedicated mom and wife, she proudly obtained her LPN license at the age of 40, and later retired from Massillon State Hospital.
Ruth is survived by her children; Edward (Carol) Yoder, Linda (Paul) Shanor, Jennifer (Michael) Hallett and Traci (James) Ely; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 77 years, Charles Yoder; daughter Barbara Traeger and three siblings.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, from 5 - 7 PM, and on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, from 2 – 3PM at Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd., NE, Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 at 3PM. Burial will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH.
