Ruthe "Tutu" L. Corbin, age 85 of Tyler, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, while under the care of The Hospice of East Texas. She was born on January 18, 1941, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Otis and Reva (West) Corbin. Ruthe had recently moved to Tyler and was previously a longtime resident of both Orlando, Florida and Fort Smith, Arkansas. Ruthe lived her later years as a loving Christian Homemaker and had earlier retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was the owner operator of an industrial cleaning supply company. In her spare time Ruthe enjoyed karaoke, gardening (especially orchids), reading, and volunteer work. She was active in the American Legion and Active Aging in Orlando, Floridia. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Al Johnson, brothers, Arnold and David Corbin and sisters-in-law, Frankie Tobin and Jenevia Corbin.

Ruthe is survived by her daughter, Patti Jones and husband, Clayton of Tyler; brothers, Vanis Corbin of Trophy Club, Texas and John Corbin and wife, Peggy of Falling Waters, West Virginia; sister, Nancy Helms of Denver, Colorado; sister-in-law, Celeste Corbin of San Antonio; granddaughter, Chrystan Edens and husband, Buddy Miller of Orlando, Florida; great grandchildren, Zoe Edens, Landen Edens, and Ivy Miller; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to The Hospice of East Texas, www.hospiceofeasttexas.org, or to the charitable organization of your choice.
