Ruthie Marie Short (Marler), age 65, passed away on December 12, 2024 in her home in Westville, Oklahoma.
Ruthie was a wife to Richard Short who has been by her side for over 35 years and was with her in her final moments. She was a mother to Jack Marler (wife Tinker) of Little Kansas, Oklahoma, Jill Lockhart of Springdale, Arkansas, Janet Hays (husband Kendall) of West Fork, Arkansas and Sarah Patino (husband Felix) of Ruston, Louisiana and preceded in death by her daughter Shonda Lockhart. She was a grandmother to Victoria, Eber, Shyla, Grace, Ronnie, Taylor, Kaylea, Sydney, Lane, and Lucy and a great-grandmother to Hailey, Liberty and Farrah.
Ruthie was proceeded in death by her parents, Jack and Earlean Marler (Murphy) of Westville, Oklahoma. She was the proud sister to Sue, Belinda, Letha, Joe, Sarah and preceded in death by her sister Kathy.
