Ryder Jo Mills went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2024. He was born January 12, 2024, to Kyle and Hannah Mills in Lubbock, Tx. Ryder was always happy, and he loved to karate chop his mom. He was a daddy’s boy from the day he was born and was known as Baby Ryder to his older brothers. His short life brought joy to all who loved him.
Ryder is survived by his parents, Kyle and Hannah Mills; brothers, Walker and Maddox Mills; maternal grandparents, Curtis and Amy Hudson, of Lubbock; paternal grandparents, Glenda Mills and James of Post and Kelly and Julie Mills of Lubbock; maternal great-grandparents, Donna and John Kidd of Lubbock and Marsha Hudson-Knight and Spencer Tracy Knight of Sulfur Springs; paternal great-grandparents, Marcha Rasco of Lubbock and Frankie Mills of Lubbock; maternal great-great-grandparent, Winnie Kidd of Midland; aunts and uncles, K’Lea and Blake Dowdy, and their children, Ellie and Sutton, all of Idalou, and Ben Hudson of Lubbock.
Ryder was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Odell Rasco, Jim Mills, and Larry Hudson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2024, at Redeemer Church, 6402 Elgin Ave, Lubbock. In honor of Ryder please wear colors and preferably no black per the family’s request.
In lieu of flowers please send donations in memory of Ryder to the Children's Home of Lubbock, 4404 Idalou Rd, Lubbock, TX 79403 or to a charity of your choice.
