Sergei Evan Scoggins, known affectionately as Evan, died on October 11, 2024, in Henderson, Nevada, at the age of 20, trying to save his mother, Anastasia. Born on April 7, 2004, in Nags Head, Evan was a vibrant and multi-faceted individual cherished by all who knew him. Evan's friends in Las Vegas and his long-time friends from Missouri joined our family in this loss of Evan.
Plans for a funeral and burial are currently pending.
Evan attended Kitty Hawk Elementary School and graduated from Papillon High School in Omaha, Nebraska. He was pursuing further education at a community college in Las Vegas, where he was dedicated to his studies of computer animation. He had a bright future ahead.
Beyond academia, Evan was passionate about a variety of interests including hiking, filmmaking, art, reading, writing, politics, anime, and football. These hobbies not only brought him immense joy but also allowed him to connect with diverse communities and create lasting friendships.
Evan's life was a testament to his eclectic interests and his ability to inspire those around him.
