Sabrina Patrice Leonard was born in Mobile, AL to Marva Dockery Ludgood and the late Norman C. Lee on January 9, 1957. She grew up in Mobile and graduated from S.S. Murphy High School, where she met the love of her life John Wesley Leonard, Jr. The two shared 47 years of love and devotion until her passing. Sabrina went on to further her studies at the University of South Alabama, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master's degree in Mathematics. She dedicated her career to teaching special education in the Mobile County Public School system for 25 years and the Moss Point School District for 8 years, helping many students reach their fullest potential. Sabrina was formerly an active member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church before joining the Faith Lutheran Church congregation. She counted it a blessing to serve the Lord, always willing to lend a helping hand.

On September 26, 2025, the Lord peacefully called Sabrina to her heavenly home in eternity. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman C. Lee. She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: devoted husband John Wesley Leonard, Jr "Sonny"; two sons Johnathan Britt Leonard and John Wesley Leonard III (Tresher Moorer); one daughter Dr. Elaina Patrice Leonard; two grandchildren Jayden Lee Leonard and Honest Tiana Leonard; a loving mother Marva Dockery Ludgood; two sisters Sherri (Kevin) Hamilton of Millbrook, Alabama and Charla Ludgood of Millbrook, Alabama; two brothers Norman Craig Lee, Jr. of Colorado and Chuckie (Ramona) Ludgood of Lakeview, Alabama; father in-law John Leonard, Sr; brother in-law Roderick Leonard; two sisters-in-law Cheryl Leonard and Rhonda Leonard Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
