Sajjan Singh Dhaliwal, born on May 26, 1964, in Mehsampur, Punjab, India was sent to his eternal home on March 29, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born to Mohinder Singh Dhaliwal and Bhajan Kaur Dhaliwal and spent his career operating his trucking company. Trucking was a true passion for Sajjan. He loved life on the open road almost as much as he loved his family.
Sajjan was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jaswinder, his daughters: Pardeep, Jasdeep, and Balprit, and his son Manraj. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sarbjit. He also leaves behind his son-in-laws: Mani and Parm and his adoring grandchildren: Karamveer, Sarina, Jovan, Harman, and Nishan.
Sajjan loved making Desi, gardening, fishing trips with his family, fireworks, collecting cassettes, and spending time with his dog. He had become somewhat infamous for his Desi in his circle of friends and loved sharing the crops from his vegetable garden with his family and friends. Sajjan loved fireworks and did not need an excuse to light them anytime of the year. He loved walking his American Akita, Bruce, when he was able to.
Sajjan will be remembered for his genuine and fun-loving nature, his generosity, and his hardworking attitude. He was a very direct person who would be willing to help anyone in need. Sajjan came from India with hardly anything, but his family and his wife. He worked extremely hard to build a life for his family.
Although Sajjan’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
