Sallie Turnidge, a resident of Dallas, Oregon died on Thursday, September 28th in Dallas. Sallie was born on October 27, 1943, in McMinnville, Oregon the daughter of John and Jeanette Pitardi. Sallie graduated from McMinnville High School in 1961. Sallie worked at State Farm in Dallas until 1978 when she moved to LaPine. In LaPine, Sallie received her insurance license. She worked there until settling in Dallas in 1985. Sallie married Keith Turnidge in Dallas on May 10, 1986. Sallie worked for Northwest Physicians Mutual Insurance in Salem. Sallie worked for Flaming Medical Center in Dallas for many years. She later worked for Salem Health as an office assistant until she retired. Sallie was a member of the Salt Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed her sewing and quilting groups. Sallie enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Keith, son, Scott (Dyan) Tallon, daughter, Molly (Eric) Richey, son, Brad (Sheila) Turnidge, daughters, Rhonda Turnidge, Diane Christie, and Tasha Turnidge, sisters, Pat Warkentin, Sherri (Mike) Tallon along with 15 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Sallie's Life will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 11:00a.m. at Salt Creek Baptist Church, Dallas, Oregon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
