Sally R. Burbach, age 81, of Potosi, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was born on June 28, 1944, in Lancaster, the daughter of Francis and Bernice (Basing) Reding. Sally graduated from Potosi High School in 1962. She was employed with William C. Brown Company in Dubuque, Iowa, where she made lifelong friends, and later served as the Potosi Village Clerk. Sally was a lifelong member of the Davies Memorial United Church of Christ where she served as a Sunday school teacher, moderator, and volunteered for many church events. She enjoyed swimming classes, reading, playing cards, and socializing with friends and family. Sally took great pride in her home and dearly loved spending time with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her beloved sisters: Marla Thill and Cindy Nelson; nieces and nephews: Michael (Gina) Thill, Jody (Jeff) Koeller, Carey (Rick) Stanton, Matthew (Misty) Thill, Kimberly (Todd) Wallingford, and Mitchell Nelson; 11 great-nieces and nephews: Torey, Ashley, Ryan, Jade, Jacy, Jordan, Forrest, Benjamin, Austin, Tylor, and Devin; eight great-great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, David Thill and Leland Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Davies Memorial United Church of Christ with Reverend Teri Hanson officiating. Private family burial will be in Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the church. Kramer-Grau Funeral Homes & Crematory in Potosi is entrusted with her care.
