Sally J. Scialla, 62, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Eatontown, NJ., passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Sally was born in Neptune, NJ, and raised in West Long Branch. She lived in Eatontown before relocating to Bradenton in September 2024. While living at the Eatonbrook Condominium Complex, she was an active member of the condo board.

Sally worked as a UPS driver and clerk for 30 years before retiring in 2014.

A 1981 graduate of Shore Regional High School in West Long Branch, Sally was an exceptional multisport athlete. As a 4-year starter and Captain of the softball team, she earned All-Shore First Team and All-State honors, helping lead the Blue Devils to the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group II Championship. She also played varsity field hockey for three years, serving as Captain and earning All-Shore Second Team recognition. Sally was a key player on the undefeated 1979 and 1980 Group II State Champion field hockey teams. Additionally, she played four years of varsity basketball and was honored with The Diane Chapman Outstanding Female Athlete Award.

Sally had a lifelong passion for golf, a sport in which she truly excelled. She also loved soaking up the sun by the pool and traveling, especially her cherished annual trips to Aruba. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends. A devoted fan of the New York Mets and Miami Dolphins, Sally followed both teams throughout her life. She was also a proud member of the Eatontown and Bradenton Elks Lodges.

Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled. She will be forever remembered with love.

Sally was predeceased by her parents, Sam "Shadow" Scialla and Virginia and her brother, William Scialla.

She is survived by her partner of 16 years, Dory Schwed; lifelong best friend, Alison Jones; sister, Nancy and her husband Joe Gallo; 3 nephews, Joseph Gallo and his wife, Lindsey, Thomas and William Scialla; niece, Samantha Gallo; 3 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces; her aunt, Arlene Shaw, many cousins, and countless friends.

In keeping with Sally's wishes, services will be private.
