In Loving Memory of Sally Logan Kersting
May 2, 1943 – June 1, 2025
Sally Logan Kersting, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on May 2, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts, Sally lived a life grounded in love, faith, and selfless service.
On August 21, 1965, she married Albert "Chad" F. Kersting, beginning a lifelong journey of partnership, devotion, and family. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Sally poured her heart into raising her children and later channeled her energy into serving her community.
She worked with Metrocrest Senior Services, where her compassion and leadership earned her the honor of being named Carrollton Woman of the Year in 1995. In the later chapter of her career, she served as Activities Director at St. Joseph Village, retiring in 2015 after years of bringing joy, dignity, and enrichment to the lives of seniors.
Sally was a devoted member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Dallas, Texas, where she found spiritual grounding and a cherished community of faith.
She is survived by her loving husband, Chad, and their three children: Betsy Kersting, Mary Lockhart (Blake), and Fred Kersting (Jeni). She was a proud grandmother to Kinsey Parrish (Justin), Courtney Edmondson (Shane), Logan Kersting, Jack Kersting, Fischer Kersting, and Braden Lockhart, and a great grandmother to Halle Edmondson.
Sally is also survived by her brothers, Bob, John, and David.
Sally will be remembered for her warmth, grace, and the many lives she touched through her kindness.
A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sally's memory to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
