Sally E. Taylor, age 91, of Millbury, MA passed away peacefully at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Worcester, MA on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Sally leaves behind her niece Karen Taylor and three nephews, Richard Taylor and his wife, Rosemary of West Boylston, David Taylor and his wife, Gima of Huntersville, NC and William Taylor of Millbury; three grand nephews and a niece, Cory Taylor and his wife, Elyana and their son, Cameron of Worcester, Nicole Taylor of Raleigh, NC and Dylan Taylor of Worcester. She also leaves many cousins and friends from Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Florida. Sally is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Frances Taylor and her sister Barbara May, brother Walter Richard, and sister Carolyn Frances Taylor.
She was a lifelong resident of Millbury and graduated from Millbury High School. Sally started her work at New England High Carbon, then spent many years at Windle Industries, Millbury and finished her career at S.I. Howard Glass Company, Worcester, where she worked as a secretary\bookkeeper. She retired in 2006. Sally had a deep faith and loved her family and friends. She was a life-long member of the Millbury Federated Church where she taught Sunday School, worked on many church committees and sang in the choir. She loved spending time with family and friends, knitting, word puzzles, and was an avid reader.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate and remember Sally’s life by gathering for her funeral service on Friday, August 15th at 11 a.m. in the Millbury Federated Church, 20 Main Street, Millbury. Family will be greeting those that attend the service from 10:30 to 11 am. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery, Millbury.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Millbury Federated Church, 20 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527 or charity of the donor’s choice.
Memories and condolences can be left on the obituary at the funeral home website.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
