Sally Yeargin Obituary

Sally Henderson Yeargin passed away in the care of her family, months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
She was born in the mountains of North Carolina and raised in Charlotte, where she met her husband, Tony. Sally and Tony were happily married for forty-seven years, or as Sally used to say - "all my life."
The mountains were a popular destination for family trips, especially hikes to her favorite waterfalls. Her favorite day each year was "tree day," when the family would be together, choosing a Christmas tree-surely too large for the living room. The day was often complimented by barbeque, antique stores, and sourwood honey. True to her North Carolina roots, she also loved the beach. Family beach trips occurred at least annually; she was blessed to see the ocean one last time a few short weeks before her passing.
While she held various jobs over the years, she often said her best job was being a mother. She was a loving, caring and kind mother, and "Peaches" to her grandchildren. Like her father, she was a fierce competitor, especially around the table with board and card games. Like her mother, her life was marked by serving others. Volunteering at her church and at local charities, she was always a friendly and welcoming face to those in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Ren, brother Bill, and son William Andrew. She is survived by her husband Tony, sister Ren, son Aaron and wife Megan, daughter Hayley and husband Luke, and four well-loved grandchildren.
