Salvatore “Sonny” J. Mignogna, 85, of Greensburg, died Saturday, March 29, 2025 in the Greene Health and Rehab Center. He was born December 07, 1939, in Hannastown, a son of the late Salvatore (Samuel) and Malfisa (Dilorenzo) Mignogna. Sonny was a member of Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf. He was employed at Westinghouse for many years as a buyer prior to being employed by Westmoreland County Memorial Park and CMS. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Taylor Mignogna; a brother, Eugene Mignogna; and his sister, Florence Mignogna. He is survived by his son, Victor Mignogna (Dominique) of Houston, TX; a step daughter, Lynne Varega of Monongahela, a step-son, Lee Calisti (Amy) of Greensburg; two grandsons, Caleb Varega and Noah Calisti; a brother, Joseph Mignogna of Greensburg; and 3 nieces, Paula Horrell (Phil), Donna Beneventano (Guy), and Janice Baer (John). Relatives and friends of Sonny will be received Wednesday from 10a.m. to 12p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020, funeral service immediately following. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National MS Society, P.O. Box 91891 Washington, D.C. 20090-1891. Sal’s family has entrusted his care to the Pantalone Funeral Home Inc.
