Sam Johnson Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Mr. Johnson, 72, of Dry Prong, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 12, 2025, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was a loving husband, brother, and uncle. Sam was a proud veteran of the United States National Guard. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, attending rodeos, and playing cards with friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Maudine "Dee" Johnson.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-three years, Sarah Johnson of Dry Prong; special niece, Joy Coleman (Jacob) of Prospect; three brothers, Gus Johnson (Toni) of Conroe, Texas, Joel Johnson (Karen) of Winnfield, and Felix Johnson of Dry Prong; one sister, Dianne Johnson of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held at Dry Prong First Baptist Church, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Jacob Coleman, Jacob Johnson, Josh Johnson, Jody Johnson, Zane Oldaker, and Stacey Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Coleman and Lane Coleman.
