A Mass of Christian Burial for CSM Fred Blaine Cole will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Deville, with Reverend Albi Mulloth officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Deville, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

CSM Cole, 73, of Deville, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans, LA.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A devout Catholic, he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #13296. He proudly served in the Army National Guard for over 32 years as part of the 527th Engineer Battalion, Company A, including deployments to Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom. He found joy in the outdoors; whether hunting, fishing, riding through the woods, or simply sitting on the porch listening to a ballgame. Known for his generous spirit, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors alike. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Nash Cole, Sr.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Rena Deville Cole of Deville; two sons, Wayne "Bo" Cole (fiancé, Teri) of Deville, and James Maurice Cole (Dawn) of Deville; one daughter, Shona Reneé Cole of Deville; three brothers, Nicholas Cole, Jr. (Linda) of Deville, Donald Cole (Kathy) of McKinney, Texas, and Greg Cole (Becky) of Deville; one sister, Charlotte White (David) of Omaha, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Hannah Cole, Connor Cole, Blair Cole, Sawyer Cole-Landreneau, and Hallie Cole; and his mother, Marcella Flinora Cole.

A time of visitation will be held in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Holy Rosary be held at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel and will be led by Reverend Albi Mulloth.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Nick Cole III, Shaun Hale, Michael White, Kevin Cole, Joseph Cole, and Dusty Deville. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Bryant, Tyler Stracener, Cory Morace, and Ron Cole.
