Sam Schepis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, LLC - Medina on Jan. 23, 2026.
Sam Schepis Jr., 65, of Medina, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 23, 2026, following a long illness.

He was the son of Salvatore and Priscilla (Lanphear) Schepis. He was a lifelong resident of Medina and worked in the area. He was employed by Rhinehart, then was a machinist at Friend Manufacturing and Saint-Gobain.

He enjoyed hunting with the guys and fishing. He always looked forward to salmon fishing in the fall. He collected NASCAR cars and model trains. Sam was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand. Especially his children. His greatest joy was his family. He loved them dearly. He lived by the motto "kids come first," whether it was his children or others.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Priscilla Schepis, his loving wife of 44 years Patricia (Fuller) Schepis, his beloved children, Becky (Christopher) O'Neil, Steven (Stephanie) Schepis, Karie (Mike Fitch) Schepis. Proud papa of Keara, Shane, Vanessa, Skyler, Riley and Samantha. Sister, Kim (Elton) Capstick, brothers Philip (Darlene) Schepis and David (Tiffany) Schepis. Sister-in-law, Margaret Schepis. Brothers-in-laws, Loren (Wendy) Fuller, Donald (Anne) Fuller, and Douglas (Danielle) Fuller. Sisters-in-laws, Dorothy (David) Nolan, Darlene (Philip) Schepis and Brenda Provorce.

Predeceased by his father, Salvatore Schepis, and a brother, William Schepis.

Per Sam's wish, there will be no calling hours. The family is planning a celebration of life.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Orleans and Nurse Jenelle for the extraordinary care and compassion they provided to Sam and his family.
