Sam Weathers Obituary
He was born in Springdale January 17, 1941 to Sam and Margaret Weathers Sr.
Sam was an early Springdale entrepreneur pursuing many projects that he enjoyed. Being a strong, quiet person he poured joy, and tremendous insight into anything he did. Sam taught his family how to fish, fly big kites, and countless other activities.
Sam is survived by his wife of 65 years Elizabeth, children Shannon(Melissa) and Whitney(Brian), grandchildren Parker(Kimberly), Stephanie, Rhiannon(Ryan), Bryanna(Logan), and great grandchildren Brylee, Madelyn, Emily, Delilah, Aimslee, Roman, Gabriel, Morgan, and
Callie.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 1pm at First United Methodist Church in Springdale with Rev. Judy Van Hoose, Rev. Daniel Thueson and Roy Young officiating.
Memorials may be made to The Wild West History Association, 993 E Jennings Street, Safford, AZ 85546 and The Bread of Life, 206 W. Johnson Ave., Springdale, AR 72764.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Sam's passing. Sam and Elizabeth were our first Wild West History Association contacts! They took us under wing and looked after us like family at the first WWHA Roundup we attended in Golden, CO. He and Elizabeth have remained more like family than friends ever since! Although Sam's soft voice has been silenced, memories of his quiet voice and chuckle linger in our memory. And so many memories of good times spent with Sam at the Roundups and during our visits will never be forgotten! Many and especially us will miss him.
