Sambor Keo Obituary

Like many Cambodians that were able to survive the genocide in the late 70's, Sambor immigrated his family to the United States in 1981. He made significant contributions to help cultivate the growing Cambodian immigrant population in the Twin Cities. Most notably, he created several pieces of cement sculptures and paintings in the traditional Cambodian style. His artwork was part of a curated selection that was displayed at Watt Munisotaram in its early stages of development.
He is survived by his son Saravuth (daughter-in-law Annie), daughter Vuthy (son-in-law Hornnason), daughter Theary, son Sony (daughter-in-law Emily) and son Rachana.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 16th from 11:00AM to 2:00PM at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave, Apple Valley, MN 55124. Final resting place will be Pleasant View Cemetery in Burnsville.
