Wednesday, January 4, 1939 – Friday, May 23, 2025

Sammie King McLemore, 86, of Rochelle, Georgia, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Crisp County Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

Graveside Services will be held at Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle, Georgia on May 25, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Richard Compton will officiate.

Sammie was born on January 4, 1939, in Pitts, Georgia. Her early years in Pitts laid the foundation for a life full of love and dedication. She was a beacon of light for her family and all who knew her. Her career in civil service at Robins Air Force Base was marked by her exceptional management skills and her commitment to excellence. She was a member of Rochelle First Baptist Church. Sammie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald McLemore, parents, William Allen King and Myrtle Cook King, as well as her siblings, Ruth Herring, Willene Bethea, Bennie King, and Johnny King.

She is survived by her loving children, Frankie McLemore of Sylvester and Mark McLemore of Stone Mountain, brother, Wilton King (June) of Rochelle and several nieces and nephews.

As we say goodbye, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those she encountered. Her memory will be cherished, and her life celebrated, as we hold her close in our hearts, today and always.
