Mr. Sammy Lee Johns, 72 of Keystone Heights, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023. Mr. Johns was born July 7, 1951 in Deland, Florida to parents Howard Wimbush and Lucy M. (Roberts) Johns. Sammy was a member of Gadara Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and working, and was a wonderful artist who loved to draw. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Barbara (Rhodes) Johns of Keystone Heights, children, Melissa Blackwelder and Steven Johns both of Keystone Heights, siblings, Marian Johns of Deland, and Margaret Sims of Deberry, and was lovingly called "Grandpa" by two grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
