Sammy "Sam" Stanley, 68, of Levelland passed from this life on November 25, 2024. Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2024, at Krestridge Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Levelland. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
He was born on June 4, 1956, in Hereford, TX to Harley and Frances Stanley. He grew up in the close-knit community of Pettit, TX. Sam met the love of his life, Terri Howard, in 1974 and they were married in March 1976. They were married for 48 wonderful years and had the most beautiful life at home and in all their travels around the world. They had three children, Lori, Gina, and Mark.
Sam was a cotton farmer in Hockley County his whole life, harvesting his 50th crop this year. He loved his work and strived for excellence in all he did. He exemplified honesty and integrity at its very best. He was a dear friend and loved by many in the Levelland community.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harley Stanley, his brother Steven Stanley, and many loved extended family members. He is survived by his mother, Frances, his brother, Ronnie, his beloved wife, Terri Stanley, his daughters, Lori Smith (husband, Zane) and Gina Thomas, and his son Mark Stanley (wife Megan). He has four dearly loved grandchildren, Jack, June, Colbie and Callen
