Samuel Lee Bennett, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on October 12th, 2025. He was a man of great heart, quiet strength, and steady hands-known for his kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Sam is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Bennett; his children, Jason Bennett (Maria), Melissa Bennett, and Zackery Bennett (Cassie); his grandchildren, Awsten Cleveland (Curtlyn), Kaytlyn Bennett, Cody Thompson, Cole Thompson, and Luther Bennett; and his great-grandchildren, Adalee Eddinger, Fisher Cleveland, and Nadilyn Greene. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Braswell (Bill).
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Bennett (Clotheile), and his brother, Gary Bennett.
A true craftsman at heart, Sam was a master carpenter whose skill and attention to detail could turn a pile of lumber into something beautiful and lasting. His family and friends often said there wasn't a thing he couldn't repair-whether it was a broken chair or a broken spirit, Sam found a way to make it whole again.
Outside the workshop, Sam found peace on the water. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping by the lake, spending countless weekends under the stars with his loved ones, a fishing pole in hand, and a campfire crackling nearby. Those moments-filled with laughter, stories, and the simple joys of life-were where he was happiest.
Sam's legacy lives on in the family he built, the lessons he taught, and the countless projects he left behind, each one a testament to his craftsmanship and care. His memory will forever be a steady anchor in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of Sam's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories, honor his memory, and cherish the love he gave so freely.
