Samuel Brooks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beasley Funeral Home - Greenville on Mar. 9, 2026.
Minister Samuel Brooks

Minister Samuel Brooks was born on February 4, 1957, in Greenville, South Carolina, to Ola King, J.Q. King, and Juke Witner. He peacefully departed this earthly home and entered into the heavenly presence of our Father on February 24, 2026.

Minister Brooks was known for his fiery preaching, his gifted guitar playing, and his unwavering love for the Lord. He dedicated his life to proclaiming the Gospel with bold conviction and deep compassion. Samuel did not simply preach the Word-he lived it daily. His love for God was evident in every aspect of his life, and his faith remained steadfast through every season. Though he has departed from this earthly life, the fire he carried for the Lord continues to burn in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, JoAnn Brooks; his daughter, Tuawond Lattimore (Mike); seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Brooks and Rebecca King; and a host of loving relatives including his cousins Wanda Dale Smith, Francine Brooks, Ricky Brooks, and Roger Bruce, and family friend Joyce Ford along with many other family members, friends, and those blessed by his ministry.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Trinal Fields, and his mother, Ola King.

Minister Brooks' legacy of faith, strength, and devotion to God will continue to live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
