CHAMBERS, SAMUEL TAYLOR

Sam Chambers, 65, of Atlanta, GA passed away August 12, 2025, after a short illness. A

memorial service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Bill Head Funeral

Home Duluth Chapel.

Mr. Chambers, a native of Cleveland, OH, was a long-time Cleveland Browns' fan. In addition

to his favorite pastime of watching football, Sam was an avid guitarist and luthier. He played

in worship bands in churches in Georgia and South Carolina and loved the Lord with all his

heart. He was also a Director of Government Reimbursement at Piedmont Health System in

Atlanta, GA.

He is survived by his wife, Amanda Chambers (nee McClellan) of Florence, SC; stepdaughter,

Katharine Gentry (Nate) of Yulee, FL; stepson, Geoffrey Lingenfelter of Denver, CO;

grandsons: Christopher and Tyler Lingenfelter and Bentley Gentry; sister, Lisa Allen (Matt) of

Apex, NC and their three children: Lauren Fine, Elyse Palmer (Tim) and Luke Allen (Courtney).

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Jack and Miriam Chambers of Duluth, GA.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time

of the service at Bill Head Funeral Homes & Crematory Duluth Chapel (770) 476-2535. In lieu
