Samuel L. Cummins

"Samuel L. Cummins (a/k/a "Sam", "Sammy", "Bo"), of Mt. Ephraim, NJ; formerly of Philadelphia (Fishtown, Kensington, Wissinoming) passed away on November 3, 2022 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Smith) for 53 years. Devoted father of Kimberly Dougherty (Tim), James Cummins (Tracey), Jennifer Lawrence (Michael), Michele Smith (Franny) and Tracey Mitchell-Cummins (Melissa). Loving pop-pop of Samantha, Morgan, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Aidan, Joliana, Justin, Braydon and Landon. Dear Brother of Shirley Poniatowski and was preceded in death by 9 siblings. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, all held near and dear to his heart.
Sam worked for Sysco (Teamsters-Local 500) for 24 years and happily retired in 2006. Sam loved spending time with family and friends, long walks, bowling (held a good average too), music and Philly sports teams. Sam also spent hours outside landscaping his lawn. Sam was known for his kindness, smile, impressive memory of birthdays and making everyone feel special.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Wednesday morning November 9, 2022, from 8:15am to 10:15am at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation Church, 601 W. Browning Road Bellmawr, NJ 08031. Funeral Mass 10:30am at the church. Interment is private at the request of the family.
