Samuel Dickerson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ruegg Funeral Home - Williamsville on Dec. 13, 2025.
Samuel Wayne Dickerson, 46, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, in St. Louis, MO. He was born November 27, 1979, in Granite City, IL, to Marvin Wayne Dickerson and Terri Rose (Kenworthy) Dickerson.

Sam was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought energy and warmth to those around him. He was self-employed as a mason and took great pride in his work, genuinely enjoying the craft and independence his career provided.

An outgoing and free-spirited soul, Sam had a deep love for the outdoors and adventure. He found joy riding his motorcycle, going on float trips, spending time with friends, and playing billiards. Sam also enjoyed traveling whenever he could, especially by rail. His travels took him to California, Florida, and Texas, where he especially cherished riding his bicycle along the beach.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Marvin W. Dickerson Sr. and Geraldine (Hillis) Brannon; paternal grandmother: Shirley Kenworthy; aunt: Glenda Fulford; cousins: John I.W. Dickerson, Rick Adams, and Larry O'Neal.

Sam is survived by his parents Marvin Dickerson and wife Sue of Williamsville and Terri Disckerson and companion, Larry Tate of Austin, TX; sister: Amy Dickerson of Austin, TX; nephew: Landon Bowman; great uncle: Theodore R. Hillis of Williamsville; uncles: Robert Dickerson of Mt Home, AR, Ted Edgell and wife Barbara of Jeffersonville, IN, Keith Kenworthy of Overland Park, KS; aunts: Barbara Lynch and husband Marshal of Satellite Beach, FL, Sandra Winningham and husband Gary of Spencer, IN, Keri Arvin of Waterloo, IL; several cousins and many dear friends.

Sam will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, and his adventurous spirit and kind heart will be remembered always.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 20, 2025, at First Assembly of God Church, Williamsville, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, also at First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Holliday Cemetery, Williamsville, MO. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
