Age 76 of North Tonawanda, entered into rest January 9, 2025. Beloved brother of Joanne (Joseph) Scioli; cherished uncle of Joseph (Jann) Scioli, Jennifer (Lawrence) Wanat and John (Barbara) Scioli; loving son of the late Angelo and Ida Drago; also survived by many great-nieces, nephews, cousins and long time friends. Sam was a proud United States Marine Corp Veteran serving in active combat during the Vietnam War. His passion for teaching led him to the Park School of Buffalo and later Kenmore West High School where he taught English for many years. The family will be present on Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the (Amherst Chapel), AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Dr. (corner of Hopkins Rd.). Interment will be held privately. My heart goes out to all of Sammy's family and friends. We had many great times together back in the 1960's, especially with all of our friends in North Buffalo. We played in a rock band together in 1966 where he sang and I played the drums. Another buddy from N. Buffalo, Paul Caruso (RIP), also played in the band with us. My mom, Bessie (Gioeli) Stevens told me that Sam and I were distant (2nd) cousins. My thoughts and prayers to all.

Sorry to hear of Sam´s passing...we were friends at the Park School and I always admired his concern for his students and the care and concern he displayed in the classroom...in addition, we had made good times together....rest is peace my good friend...Steve dombrowski
