Samuel J Frontino Jr.

Samuel J. Frontino Jr., age 90, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Born on August 1, 1935, in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, Samuel was the son of the late Samuel J. and Anna (Lockmonic) Frontino. He was a devoted son, brother of 7, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was guided by faith, family, hard work, commitment, and steady leadership.

Samuel was the beloved husband of 68 years to Betty Ann Frontino (née Kohute). Together, they shared a lifetime of love and dedication to family. He took great pride in his role as the cornerstone of a large and close-knit family.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann, and his children: John Frontino (wife Marlene), Prudie (Denise) Frontino (husband Michael Wrigley), Sue Frontino-Hendricks (late husband Lloyd), Betsy Frontino, Samuel J. Frontino III, and Amy Periandri (husband Anthony).

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kevin, Sean, Evan, Ryan, Taylor, Lloyd, Elizabeth, Liam, Samuel IV, Nicholas, Peyton, Anthony, Rocco, Carmine, and Vincenzo, and by his great-grandchildren Paige, Brooklyn, Brody, Sophia, Stella, Lincoln, Cora, Lyla, Brixley, and Cooper.

He is survived by his sister, brothers and sister-in-law: Adeline "Honey," Frank, John, Tom, Richard, Daniel, and Joseph, and his sister-in-law, Martha Kallejian.

Samuel enjoyed a successful career as a District Manager with Continental Can, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and dependable leadership. He was a 1957 graduate of John Carroll University, where he also played football, a reflection of his lifelong athleticism and discipline. He later participated in ROTC, further demonstrating his commitment to structure and service.

An athlete throughout his life, Samuel enjoyed golf and bocce and was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Above all, he valued family and lived his faith quietly but consistently, leading by example.

A Mass at St. Leo Church, followed by a reception, will be held January 31st 2026 at 10:00 am.

Samuel's legacy of love, faith, and dedication will continue through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Empower Sports of Northeast Ohio, in Samuel's memory.
