Samuel Guevara of Lubbock departed this life on Sunday January 14, 2024 at the age of 94 in Lubbock, Tx. He was born in Saucillo Mexico to Andres and Maria Vega Guevara. Samuel work for Stafford Construction then Williams & Peters for many years. He was a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church. He was a very loving and caring family man who always put his family first. He enjoyed going to family events and spending time with his grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandchild.
His memory will be cherished by his children, Jesus Guevara of Odessa, Lucy & husband Shane Gracco of Midland, Juana & husband Bernardo Rodriguez of Roswell NM, Manuel Guevara & wife Sylvia Garcia, Jose G and wife Victoria Guevara, Joe Guevara, Martin & wife Toni Guevara, George Guevara, Martin II & wife Vanessa Guevara all of Lubbock, his sister Manuela G Saenz of El Paso, Chela Cordero of Cd Juarez Mexico and sister in law Maria Guevara of Cd. Juarez Mexico He had 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Samuel was preceded in death by his wife Catalina Guevara, son Sam Guevara Jr, granddaughter Savannah Guevara, grandson Jason Guevara and brother Andres Guevara.
Viewing will be held at Combest Family Funeral; Home on Thurs. January 18th from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. Memorial services will be held on Fri January 19th at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lubbock. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery In Slaton.
Arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Home of Lubbock.
