Samuel Warren "Sonny" Maggard

Samuel Warren Maggard (lovingly known as Sonny), age 76, of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center while holding his wife's hand.
Samuel was born July 10, 1947 in Scotts Branch Kentucky, the son of the late Johnny and Ada (McCoy) Maggard. He was a 9-year veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired CSX employee of 30 years. He was a devout Christian and a member of Bridge of Hope Christian Ministries.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Samuel Maggard is survived by his wife, Donna (Skeens) Maggard of Pikeville, Kentucky, one son, John David Maggard of Pikeville, Kentucky, three brothers, and three sisters, a bunch of nieces and nephews, and too many cousins to count.
Sonny will forever be loved and missed by his many friends and family.
Visitation will be in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, March 15, 2024, 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. with evening services at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel with Arnold Thornsbury officiating.
