Sam McQueen, of Panorama Village, passed away on February 18, 2026.
He was born in Mercedes, TX on February 18, 1951, then the family moved to Little Rock, AR in 1963. A diehard Razorback fan, Sam attended University of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.E. "Mac" and Scottie Cook McQueen, brother Harry Eugene McQueen, sister Mary Carla Thompson and niece Abigail McQueen.
He is survived by his wife Monica Arnold McQueen, daughters Melanie Kelly Ruiz and husband Mike, Melissa Kelly Westbrook and husband Ryan, grandchildren Hunter, Preston, Layla, Livia, Lennon and Rally, sister Suzanna Wetherington and husband David, brother Michael McQueen and wife Debra, sister-in-law Kathy McQueen, brother-in-law Alan Thompson, and nieces and nephews who lovingly called him Uncle Sam.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, February 27, 2026, at First Christian Church, 3500 North Loop West, Conroe.
