Samuel Houston Patrick Sr. "Sammy", 82, a resident of St. Francisville, LA, died on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He started working at Crown Zellerbach while in high school and retired after 43 plus years and many name changes to the mill. There will be a visitation at the First Baptist Church of St. Francisville on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and then on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 9:00am until funeral services at 10:00am, conducted by Bro. Joe Ratcliff. Burial will be in Feliciana Cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Julie Horn and husband Robby Horn of St. Francisville; son Yancey Patrick and wife Monica of St. Francisville; sister Peggy Ainsworth of Lafayette, LA; sister Alice Hayes and husband Bobby "Bud" of Vick, LA; brother Gary Patrick and wife Sherry of Jonesville, LA; eight grandchildren: Madeline Patrick, Emma Sagely, Makenzie Patrick, James Patrick Horn, Jack Horn, Julian Horn, Chase Horn, Shea Corona; five great-grandchildren: Stella Sagely, Payton Sagely, Naceigh Sagely, Ryder Horn, and Sloane Horn. He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Tommy" and Marine Patrick, parents-in-law James "Roudolph" and Essie Foyil; wife Freda Foyil Patrick; son Samuel "Sam" Patrick Jr.; brother-in-law Roger Ainsworth; and brotherTommy Ray Patrick. Pallbearers will be James Patrick Horn, Jack Horn, Julian Horn, Nathan Sagely, Noel Patrick, and Judd Patrick. He was a man of God and member of First Baptist Church St. Francisville. He was a proud Freemason and a member of Masonic Lodge #31 F&AM for over fifty years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved all aspects of baseball: playing, coaching, and watching. He was proud to be a Jack of all trades. He was the best Daddy and Papa ever.
