Samuel Tierney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Owen Funeral Home - Dixie Highway on Apr. 16, 2025.
Samuel Brian Tierney, 19, passed away Monday April 14, 2025, at his home.
Samuel was born on August 9, 2005, to his parents James and Dawn (Young) Tierney of Louisville, Ky. He worked for Intertech Mechanical as a pipefitter. Samuel was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing, playing golf. He was a 2023 graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School where he played on both the golf team and the archery team. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, best friend, uncle and nephew.
Survived by his parents James and Dawn Tierney, sisters Pamela Schlueter (Matthew) and Kayla Decker (Adam); grandparents Wade Stevens (Chris) and Ramona Bull (Shane); nieces and nephews Maggie, Tinley, Weston, Quinn and Tatum; best friend Erich Curl, girlfriend Trevi Domenica and too many great friends and family to mention here who love him and will miss him greatly.
His nieces and nephews remember him as being adventurous, loved to wrestle, swim, and ride the 4 wheelers with them faster than allowed and just being goofy. He is already missed but the memories made will last forever.
He was in his second-year apprenticeship and loved welding, playing golf, fishing, working out and spending time with his friends and family. Many have described Samuel as having an "old soul" and far wiser than his age. His presence will be deeply missed but memories of his goofy and loving nature will live on.
Funeral service will be held on Friday April 18, 2025, at 11:00am Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kentucky Humane Society.
