Samuel Kenneth Wenger

Samuel Kenneth Wenger, 70, of Lebanon, passed away Monday October 6, 2025, at Carolyn's House (Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence).
Born in Lebanon, he was the son of Arlene R. (Heisey) Wenger of Annville and the late Samuel Wenger. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Danita Earnest (fiancé James McAndrew); one grandchild, Cohen Alphonse; and two sisters, Rebecca Wenger and Jennifer Longacre (husband Mark). He is also survived by his dear friend Miriam Stone and her daughter Rachel. He was preceded in death by a son Rony and a sister Evelyn Wenger.
Sam, known to his family as Ken, reluctantly retired from the IT Department in the Lebanon County Municipal Building while battling pancreatic cancer. In addition to his job, he loved learning and talking about new ideas, the outdoors, photography, astronomy, and geology. He was active for several years with the Kiwanis Club.
He was also an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding family and friends at holiday meals or just workday lunches. He learned bread baking from his maternal grandmother and spent much of his adult life perfecting the art; he was not always successful...
Most of all, he loved reading, and his tastes were broad: his library encompassed everything from physics to classic science fiction, to the History of Mathematics (in three volumes!), to the National Enquirer.
Memorial services will be held Monday November 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. A visitation with his family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be private.
