Sandra Barreca Obituary
Sandy loved cooking and painting, enjoyed playing pickleball and staying active. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Sandy will be greatly missed by her family and many close friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 23 from 4 to 8 pm at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Road, Glenview. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 24 at 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1775 Grove St., Glenview.

I was thinking about all the words that would describe Sandy and I could come up with only positive ones - words such as: strong, brave, adventurous, curious, approachable, calm, capable, caring, nurturing, artistic, enthusiastic, pleasant, and gracious. And even though I know that everyone has some negative traits, I swear I could not think of a one. That is undoubtedly why Sandy had so many friends and touched so many lives. We will all miss her terribly. My condolences especially to her family in this incredibly sad time.
