Sandra K. Baynum, of Goddard, age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at UK St. Claire Hospital. She was born on December 3, 1949, in Covington, KY to the late Lawrence and Katie Bromley Reineke.
She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in this world. She enjoyed crafting which included cross stitching, crocheting, and plastic canvas. Sandra had an immense love for black bears and grizzle bears that led her to collect bear figurines everywhere she went. You could also find her playing games on her tablet or listening to Elvis, whom she loved. Sandra had a heart of gold and never took the simple things in life for granted. She loved being in the comfort of her home in her pj's. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her and will be forever remembered.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter and caregiver, Angela (Ralph Chamberlain, III), who was her best friend; son, Chris (Melinda) Baynum, daughter in law, Danielle Baynum; grandchildren, Cheyanne Baynum, Nevaeh Baynum, Angel Terzin, Farrah, Alicia, and Ethan Chamberlain, Kayla, Tristan, Tyler, and Halie Baynum; great grandchildren, Timothy and Anthony Purcell, Emmalee Baynum; sister, Melba Byrd; sister in law, Debbie Applegate; close family friends, Jada Farris and her children, Valerie Swell, Katie Swell, several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Baynum and her two sons, Anthony and Jeffrey Baynum and one brother, Larry Reineke.
A visitation will be held at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Angela Chamberlain to assist with Sandra's final expenses.
