Sandra Lea Beving the daughter of Gail and Leva (Beck) Franker, was born on December 27, 1940, in Spencer, Iowa. She was raised in the Royal area and graduated from Royal High School in 1958.
After graduation, she worked as a CNA at Longhouse Residence and raised her family. Sandra lived and worked in several communities in Northwest Iowa. She was the head cook at the Senior Center in Spencer before retiring in 2002.
On May 26, 1982, Sandra married Darrell Beving in Jackson, MN. Sandra attended the United Methodist Church in Langdon as well as the Faith Pentecostal Church in Spencer. She was a Past Madam President of the Spencer Eagles Auxiliary. She loved to go camping in her younger years. She also liked to cook, sing, do crosswords, sudoku and word search puzzles. She was an avid soap opera, HGTV and Hallmark show watcher. Most of all, Sandra loved to play cards with her family and friends.
Sandra passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 surrounded by her family at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 83. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell; her sister, Gayleen Means and her brother, David Franker
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kathy Gossman of Spencer, IA, Kristy Kruse (Bobby) of Goodlettsville, TN, Kent Means (Mindy) of Royal, IA; five grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her stepson, David Beving of La Crosse, WI; her sister, Sherry Blomberg (Larry) of Urbandale, IA; her brother, Dan Franker (Linda) of Clive, IA; other relatives and friends.
