Sandra “Sandy” (Andersen) Borrello, age 83, of Dighton, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Gagnon) Andersen.
Sandy was the beloved wife of Christopher (“Jerry”) Borrello for 64 years of love, partnership, and cherished memories. Together, they built a life that included not only raising a family but also working side-by-side at their family business, Winthrop St. Motors, where Sandy was an integral part until her retirement.
In her younger years, Sandy could often be found at motocross tracks across New England, cheering with her daughter Gina for her husband Jerry and sons, Chris, Jon, and Vinny as they raced.
Sandy loved nothing more than spending time with her loved ones. She enjoyed boating, winter trips to Florida, and crocheting beautiful blankets and sweaters for those closest to her.
A true hostess at heart, she delighted in preparing Italian feasts for family dinners. Above all, she treasured the simple moments, like visiting Somerset Creamery with her husband Jerry and their beloved puppy Mikey.
Sandy leaves behind her loving husband, Jerry; her children, Christopher Borrello II and wife Kathleen of North Dighton, Jon Borrello and wife Michelle of North Falmouth, Vincent Borrello and wife Kimberly of North Dighton, and Gina Borrello and partner Jerry Shea of North Dighton. She was the proud grandmother of Matthew Borrello, Sarah Borrello, Kassandra Heath, Jon Paul Borrello, Grace Harrison, Sydney Borrello, Nicholas Borrello, and Skye Harrison, and the great-grandmother of Sofia Heath and Hudson Heath.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 2 to 5p.m. with a service beginning at 4:30p.m. at the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square), Taunton. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
Known for her radiant smile, boundless love of life, and deep affection for animals, Sandy’s heart was always open to the furry companions who shared her life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandy’s memory may be made to the Taunton Animal Care Facility, 821 West Water St., Taunton, MA 02780.
