Sandra Kay Brinkerhoff, 82, of Wooster, died Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Smithville Western Care Center.
Sandra was born March 3, 1941 in Wooster, Ohio to Ernest and Mildred {Balzer} Chapman.
Sandra graduated from Wooster High School.
She married William Brinkerhoff in 1960. He died in 1966.
Most recently Sandra worked at the Dollar Tree in Wooster, before that she worked for Diebold and Prentke-Romich. She was a member of the Church of the Cross in Madisonburg. She loved horses and was a member of the Wayne County Saddle Club, and she was a 4-H advisor. Sandra attended many horse shows as a kid and then later on with her children. She also enjoyed trail riding and raising dogs.
Sandra will be deeply missed by her children Scott (Theresa) Brinkerhoff of Maryland, and Kelly (Brian) Dillion-Brauneck of Wooster; grandchildren Abigael Clayborn, Madison Brinkerhoff, Mary Claire and Samuel Smith; great-grandchildren Charlie and Emersyn Wilson; son-in-law Donald Smith; brother-in-law Jack Shellenberger; previous-husband Melvin Dillion; and many other family and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband William, daughter Keri Smith, granddaughter Kate Smith, and sister Judy Shellenberger.
Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home and be livestreamed at https://www.robertsfuneralhome.com/obituaries/sandra-brinkerhoff . Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
