Sandra L. Brown, 81, of Mooresville, passed away at home on September 7, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis on October 21, 1942, to the late William and Annabelle Imel. Sandra graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1961 and earned an accounting degree from Ivy Tech Community College. She was a bookkeeper for AFL-CIO for almost 30 years before retiring in 2007. 

Sandra was a resilient woman. She often worked two jobs, sometimes three, to provide for her children. She was a devoted mother and a kind woman to all. Sandra enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She often made clothes for herself and her children. Sandra ran the concession stand for the Mooresville Softball League for several years. She also took pride in tap dancing and riding horses, winning several ribbons. 

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Reid, Karen Brown, and Sharon Hunter; brothers, William Imel (wife, Shirley), Dennis Imel, and Robert Imel; grandchildren, William Woodcock, Stephanie Woodcock, Erik Reid, and Zach Woodcock; great-grandchildren, KJ, Liam, Leah, Horizon, Riley, Naomi, Ezra, and Parker. 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 12th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Sandra’s Life Celebration® Service will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, September 13th at the funeral home with an hour of visiting prior. She will be laid to rest in Washington Park East in Indianapolis.
