Sandra Porter "Nana" Carnaggio

1942 - 2024

Sandra "Nana" Carnaggio passed away surrounded by loved ones on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 82. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her memory was as sharp as her wit. Nothing made her happier than to make someone laugh. She always enjoyed talking to her many friends at the grocery and restaurants she visited. Her love for the New Orleans Saints was unwavering. She was generous and adventurous - including skydiving for the first time in her 70s. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe Leonard Porter, Jr. and May Rita Porter; brothers, Armond Porter and Charles Porter (Pat Porter); sister, Eileen Taix (Lucien Taix). She is survived by her husband, Lionel Carnaggio; sister, Marilyn Matar; daughters, Tammy Kern (Blaine Kern, Jr.) and Diana Meadows (Rick Meadows); son, Lonnie Carnaggio (Michaelle Carnaggio); grandchildren, Blaine Kern III, Alexandra Kern, Jenna Meadows, Kailyn Carnaggio, and Corinne Carnaggio; pet, Minna. Visitation will be held at Garden of Memories, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie on November 14, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with services at 12:00. Interment will be immediately thereafter. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.
